Zenith Stratos Flyback Blue Watch Review

Zenith SA is a watch manufacturer of Swiss extraction. Unlike many other watch companies, Zenith produces movements for themselves. The famous El Primero movement, which has gained many awards since its birth, is created by Zenith.

Last year, Zenith has unveiled a beautiful watch named El Primero Stratos Flyback Watch. It looks so fascinating with its beautiful blue dial.

The typically red chronograph seconds hand is really a lighter sky blue color about this model, that is a most appreciated detail. An exciting steel watch having a blue and whitened dial is really a timeless look that’s personified here. Zenith calls the dial “Blue Sunray,” also it comes with a sunray finish around the metallic surface.

This Zenith Stratos watch is 45.5mm wide and again inside a steel case with this version. Though arrived at think about it, an 18k rose gold would look interesting using the blue bezel and dial. The bezel is again in ceramic, with etched sections colored set for the minute indications. I have pointed out this before, but it’s worth observing the rotating bezel is sloped inwards somewhat, making for an infinitely more challenging production if this involves making the ceramic bezel card inserts. The bold dial is imminently legible with correctly sized hands which are covered in lume. Because of the mixture of military looks and polished elements, I believe the Stratos creates an excellent formal sports watch… that’s still undeniably a sports watch.

Inside this and all sorts of other El Primero Stratos Flyback watches may be the in-house made Zenith El Primero Caliber 405B automatic movement. The chronograph includes a flyback feature and utilizes a column wheel. It’s about 50 hrs of power reserve and becoming an El Primero, it’s a high beat, 36,000 bph movement. The 405 series has an excellent history, stemming from the initial integrated chronograph watch movement within the seventies which was created by Zenith.

Zenith provides the blue called form of the Stratos Flyback on the steel metal bracelet or perhaps a textured blue rubber strap. Honestly, around the strap it appears nice but for me is simply “too blue.” The solid blue dial, bezel, and strap are blue overkill. That’s the problem with blue watches, you can easily go “over blue.” Around the steel bracelet it’s another story. Nowhere dial and bezel complement the relaxation from the case very nicely. The bracelet around the Stratos tapers somewhat featuring a neat three-link design having a polished center link. I love how it provides a gapless construction between your outer links which the outdoors from the links are polished. The bracelet is closed having a butterfly style deployant.

From my personal point of view, this Stratos Flyback watch is very pretty. Yes, pretty. The blue dial makes this watch more elegant, less sporty.
